woooohoooo it's almost 10+++ hours down the road and i STILL haven't finished my writeup! this is one damn 'windy' writeup, heh, perfect for the doc i intend to hand this in to! ;) *giggles*my patient's main problem is: IVC thrombosis (actually it's not just the IVC it's also the left common iliac, left external iliac and bilateral distal DVTs). it's not wonder it prompted the almost frantic hunt for suspected malignancies, vasculitis and autoimmune diseases... but... nada... zilch... zero... this is all complicated with uncontrolled autoimmune dm (got high high GAD!), hypercholesterolaemia, osteoarthritis, gastritis and... yes that's all! i think when she comes back for f/u, they're going to measure her tumor markers again, i hope hope hope it comes up as negative!!! such a nice funny lady, been in the hospital for almost a month and 'clerked to death' (since the docs in that ward ALL enthusiastically recommend her as a good long case!) really nice woman! and let me do all the physical examinations.... so cheerful too! not like many other long-staying patients who look like they've eaten some suan1mei2.
hmmm... it's 0028hrs now, i'm feeling sooo slack... i spent my day playing lots of computer games, reading on calcium, ADH, GH and ACTH and retaining just under 10% of what i've read... and i had lots of fruits... an interesting dinner cuz my mother was experimenting!!! (some things are better left unsaid) purposely walked in the small drizzle when i could have gotten shelter at the void decks... i was just feeling sooo in touch with nature and somehow feeling the perverse pleasure of being a weirdo.
i'm not going for lectures at nus tomorrow... yucks... it's APPROACH to back, joint pain, impaired renal function, haematuria and proteinuria... i hope hypochon goes for the lectures, esp the one on proteinuria! ;) i'm half tempted to go back to nus cuz then i can SHOW OFF to my fellow CG the beautifully laser-printed notes i have and also catch mohshan, dantong or valerie during lunch. but but... i just hate nus n lectures too much! hahaha! hmmm i think i'll laser print my last two writeups, the printing is just so crisp and clear! i can't help it, i'm a perfectionist!
off to bed... time out: 0032hrs. SEE, I CAN REALLY TYPE FAST RITE?
