:: The Princess Diaries II - a review ::well well, aren't you all shocked that i - the morbid, lover-of-horror-movies geek has watched a romantic comedy? heh heh... of ALL such princess stories... or stories of fairy tales-come-true, i have to say, i enjoy 'the princess diaries' best. not solely for the fairy tale and the happy ending, but for it's razor sharp wit, it's jokes (that are NOT slapstick), and the fun! yes, it is a hugely entertaining movie, to the extent that i can watch it twice... and... if i could/dared to (what with the finals looming in the near future) even thrice!
heh heh... um... so who's 'funny' in the movie? well, almost everybody, except the 'bad guy'... there's an agent smith lookalike, an overzealous teenager doing an attachment for national security, a head of guards whose voice is wowow so loud! and yup... simply, lots of witty jokes, nothing slapstick i promise you (or you can come slap me)...
anne hathaway is a good actress, it's not surprising, i believe she was the only american to be accepted into some british drama school... or vice versa. sorry, not v clear about that, but i believe she's had vocal training for musicals and real-life performances, not those hollywood films where your voice can be edited AFTER the film has been shot. :)
ahhhhh such a fun film! keke... i've been laffing throughout the film, my mother actually looked in on me, cuz she tot i was studying till i 'kee siao' so embarrassing. oops.
so late now... i shall go listen to the dear cd sanzhu got me for my bday! oooh so nice (both the music AND the singer!)
