lunedì, marzo 14, 2005 :: oscar award for two roles played by one person ::medical student: MS pt: patient MS (me): hi, what happened to you? pt (also me): i sprained my ankle... missed a step. MS: oh. how unfortunate... must have hurt! may i take a look? pt: sure, here... ![]() OSCES! MS: waaaa... are you able to walk? (there is a 5-cm diameter swelling over the lateral malleolus, and a smaller swelling over the medial malleolus. there is no skin discolouration or open wound). pt: not really MS: hmmmm, can u wriggle your toes? can feel my fingers? pt: *wriggles painfully* MS: (oh, no neurological deficit), i'm going to feel your ankle a bit... it might be a bit uncomfortable... pt: okay (with doubt in eyes)... ouch... ooh.... ooof... MS: ok, sharp pain at the medial malleolus, diffuse pain over the lateral malleolus, distal shin. pt: i also feel a lot of pain even when i don't move my foot. MS/pt: oh manz... just very painful la! to be continued... dunno need x-ray or not... haiz
